Winter is starting off with a bang here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and at Wintergreen Resort there’s lots of excitement! We’ve already had several minor snowfalls, and the temperatures have remained near or below freezing much of the last couple of weeks.
Conditions are better than we’ve seen in years for this time of late fall, and snowmaking on the mountain continues with a vengence. Wintergreen Ski Resort will remain closed most of this week to focus on getting as much of the white stuff on the slopes as possible, but will re-open Friday morning, December 12, at 9:00 am for skiing and riding. If everything goes as planned there will be 13 trails and 4 lifts open this weekend!
