Authentic German cuisine in a Bavarian style chalet. That’s what you’ll find at the Edelweiss Restaurant, located just a 25 minute drive from Cabin Creekwood. Chef Ingrid, originally from the Black Forest region of Germany, opened this restaurant in 1981. Today, she prepares authentic German food from her mother’s original recipes.
If you’re not sure what you want, my recommendation is to get the German sampler. You’ll not leave hungry with the Sauerbraten (marinated sweet and sour beef roast served with gravy and two potato dumplings), Goulash (beef and pork tips cooked together in a paprika sauce), Schnitzel (pork fillet prepared with spices, breaded and fried), Rahmschnitzel (pork fillets fried and sauteed with mushroom and sour cream sauce), and Jagerschnitzel (pork fillets fried and sauteed with a mushroom and onion gravy). In fact, if you do order the sampler, you should probably have someone to share it with!
Guests can also enjoy imported German beer, wine, and the German pastry shop. On weekends, join in the German Volksmusic and singing.
