I miss the cabins. Especially Creekwood! Don't get me wrong; I love to work and will work until I die. But the cabin is a wonderful little break.

The last time we were there in September my teenage daughter's friend could not make it so it was just the three of us. We managed to get very close to her on that weekend. She is sixteen and moving away from us at that alarming rate so it was a blessing to recapture some of the family bonding. Even now she is a lot less rebellious than before the weekend. Not that we don't put a lot of time into our family but she is at an age where she has her friends and we are not "cool". She has always been "Daddy's girl" and told me all of her concerns and everything that was going on in her life even if she broke rules. Right before the last cabin weekend she was not sharing with me and I was afraid that negative influences from school could gain a foothold. One weekend put our relationship back on track! So thank you a million times over for the environment you have provided.

Vacation and Cabin Creekwood have been synonymous to the Owens family for 10 years. We enjoy that we don't have to travel very far to feel we are far away from the city.

Our family has stayed in several different cabins and found each one to be very accommodating. Our routine is to come to CCW 2 times each summer, but we also have enjoyed fall and winter visits. It is a true vacation for Mom because all we have to do is jump into the car. No need to pack bedding, cooking utensils or a camp kitchen. Dad likes that if he wants, he can relax and do nothing or find many activities nearby, such as county fairs, hiking, boating and fishing, book fair and Farmer's Market. The kids divide their time between swimming in the pool or playing in the creek. The entire family loves the scenery and serenity of the beautiful surroundings during all 4 seasons. Some visits we adventure out to visit nearby attractions in Wintergreen, Staunton, Lexington and sporting events at JMU in Harrisonburg.

The Owens think Cabin Creekwood is the perfect place for a family vacation.
